Prepares your face for the next product.
Gives your foundations something to hold on to so it lasts longer.
Makes the surface of your skin look smoother.
Your pores appear smaller.
Light is reflected in a more flattering way.
What is the difference between setting powder and finishing spray?

Setting Powder

Sets your foundation and other moist products (concealer, undereye corrector, highlight, contour - if they are cream based).
Takes the shine off your face.
Absorbs excess oil.
Adds a layer of coverage.
Helps foundation last longer.

Finishing Spray

Seals your makeup so it looks as good at the end of the day as it did when you applied it.
If you don't wear color cosmetics, you may not need this step.
