Ipsy Hack: How I Chose All 5 Full-Size Beauty Products for $35
When it comes to beauty subscriptions, Ipsy is one of my favorites, especially for savvy women over 50 who want to try high-end products without paying full price. But here’s the thing… I don’t always want or need the products that come in my BoxyCharm subscription, even though they are great choices for me. So instead, I use what I call my Ipsy Hack. 💄✨
👉 Instead of grabbing their Beauty Box each month, I shop their members-only deals section*, where products are deeply discounted. I challenge myself to spend only $35 and pick 5 products. That way, I get to choose exactly what I want, and the value is incredible.
And guess what? You don’t even need an active subscription to shop Ipsy’s deals*! 🙌

My $35 Ipsy Hack: 5 Full-Size Products That I Chose
Here’s what I picked up this month for $35, and yes, these are all full-size products that normally retail for much more.
1. COVER FX Power Play Foundation (Shade: L2)
Retail Value: $44.00 I paid: $6.00

This foundation is known for its lightweight, long-wear formula and natural matte finish. Perfect for mature skin because it evens out texture without settling into fine lines. I tried shade L2, which was much too light for me, but I was very impressed with the coverage!

2. Natasha Denona I Need A Rose Lipstick (Shade: Daphne)
Retail Value: $27 I paid: $10.00

Natasha Denona lipsticks are buttery soft, hydrating, and full of pigment. This formula is perfect for women over 50 who want a youthful, fresh lip look. The shade was much too light for me, but fortunately there are other shades to choose from!

3. ICONIC LONDON Treat Yourself Eyeshadow Palette
Retail Value: $62 I paid: $8

This palette is full of wearable mattes and pastel shimmers which are ideal for both everyday looks and glam nights. Due to the prevalent number of shimmer and metallic shades, this may not be my first choice for mature eyes, but if you are looking for a little pizzazz you'll find it here!
Some Iconic London palettes such as this one are limited edition, so if you cannot find this collection, be sure to check out their current offerings.

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Deluxe (Shade: Taupe)
Retail Value: 26.00 I paid: $5.00

A cult classic for a reason! The fine tip makes it easy to create natural, hair-like strokes to fill sparse brows and this deluxe version includes a spoolie for smoothing and taming them.
Brow Wiz has a unique powdery formula, which I think would be great for someone new to using brow products. I chose the shade Taupe, which works but is a little light on me, so I think I will try Dark Brown when I order again.
5. Alleyoop Game Face Second Skin Concealer (Shade: Winner)
Retail Value: $26.00 I paid: $5.00

This creamy concealer is lightweight yet buildable and provides amazing full coverage. I also love that it comes with a sponge on the end for seamless blending. Perfect for covering dark circles or age spots without creasing.
Full Retail Value of all 5 products: $185
I paid: $34
Why I Love This Hack 💡
Instead of letting Ipsy choose for me (which I must admit, they are pretty darn good at), I get to pick products I need at the time and I know I’ll use. This way:
✅ I get control over my beauty buys
✅ I still spend just $35
✅ I score full-size products from luxury brands
✅ I can shop whenever I want... subscription or not!
🤔 True, I did not hit the mark on all of the colors selections this time, but I still feel pretty good about my choices!
